Position Summary

The Senior Integration Specialist position is a critical member of the Commercial IT Team and reports to the Manager of CRM Development.  Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will own the planning, coordination and hands-on development of data integration processes between various software platforms.  Insulet has recently selected Snaplogic as our middleware platform and will be migrating old integrations along with the creation of new integration processes to the new platform.  This is a hands-on technical lead position requiring experience across the full development cycle, with a focus on systems integration. The ideal candidate will have worked with middleware platforms in the past, has written custom web service integrations and has experience with EDI.  This position offers the opportunity to take a patchwork integration program/environment and turn it into a best of breed approach leveraging (where appropriate) middleware, direct API calls, restful services, EDI, real-time and batch integrations.   As a company we have several years of tremendous growth within the data management, data warehouse, integration and data quality space. This role will be a key contributor in building these systems and functions for the next several years.

  • Conceptualize, develop and implement integration solutions between systems such as, Insulet Mobile apps, Microsoft AX ERP, Quality Control Systems, Data-warehouse and other applications.
  • Implement the new middleware platform (Snaplogic) to be our standard for 80-90% of Insulet’s integrations. There will always be outliers that require a different approach, but we are looking to standardize most integrations onto a single platform with reusable templates for consistent processing and monitoring.
  • Candidate should have experience using at least one cloud middleware platform at a previous company. It would be ideal, but not required, if he/she has recently utilized Snaplogic.
  • Help convert legacy integrations to the new platform and methodology
  • Learn/own the ongoing development and support of our existing integrations which include a mixture of middleware platforms and custom webservices.
  • Implement EDI solutions for connecting regulated systems
  • Create near ‘real-time’ integrations that are critical to running day to day business activities.
  • Lead, design, and implement integration metric processes to ensure integrations are effective, accurate, timely and include error handling monitoring and/or alerting.
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, and information architects to develop a cohesive and scalable future-state integration program.
  • Develop and document policies and standards for managing the integration architecture framework.
  • Create and maintain integration environment map and the various business processes affected by integration efforts.
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.
  • Analyze issues and develop fixes to existing integrations as part of Change Control assignments.
  • Performs other duties as required.
