Position Summary

Insulet is seeking a Senior Talent Development Specialist. The ideal candidate will take initiative, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities and details effectively.  The Talent Development program manager will be a very visible talent advocate and must be able to build positive professional relationship across the organization.

Responsibilities

Program Development Assistance:  Assist in the design and development of programs to meet the needs of the business.  Provide support for producing program proposals.

Program Management:  Responsible for oversight and management of the new employee assimilation program from beginning to end with the ability to master the process and accept increasing levels of responsibility and independence for delivering the program.  Manages additional talent and learning development programs, as assigned.

Learning and Event Coordination:  Key source of coordination for all training programs including booking event space, registration, material preparation, reporting etc.  Program manager will maintain courses, offerings, registration, wait lists and run reports.  Helps to establish documented and streamlined training processes.

Delivery of Selected Program Modules: Deliver program modules through effective and engaging instruction

Vendor Management: Work with internal and external vendor partners to ensure a professional and polished learning environment.  May include program facilitators, suppliers, venues, catering etc.

Communications: Manage communications for talent programs and be able to communicate effectively and confidently.  Must be comfortable and experienced speaking in front of groups.

Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for Learning and Talent Development programs.  Strive to deliver a high quality participant experience in all programs.  Ability to confidently and effectively resolve problems as they arise.

Process Improvement: Measures the effectiveness of programs and make continuous improvements as necessary to ensure all objectives are met.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 yrs. experience in the Training, Development or related field.
  • Drive to succeed and maintain high standards of performance
  • Relationship building and interaction management
  • Team orientation
  • Initiative to do whatever it takes to get things done and quickly resolve unanticipated problems.
  • Confident and effective at speaking and delivering instructional content in from a diverse audience
  • Experience planning and coordinating training, large meetings or events.
  • Proficient with Outlook, MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, often with overlapping deadlines.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding personnel information.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills - patience, humor, listening and helpfulness.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills; accuracy is essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Learning facilitation and program development experience a big plus
  • Degree in a relevant field such as business, human resources, education, organizational development
