Position Summary

Answer phones in a call center environment responding to general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints. Collecting payment from consumers with regards to their outstanding balances.  Projects a professional company image through each phone interaction.


Responsibilities

  • Answer phone and respond to customer requests regarding insurance inquires and patient balances from a call center environment
  • Make outgoing calls to consumers regarding outstanding balances
  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Transfers Customer calls to appropriate staff as necessary
  • Identify, research and resolve customer billing issues
  • Follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved and provide follow-up communication to customer once resolved
  • Prepares memos/form/correspondence
  • Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls, recommends process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Education and Experience

Knowledge / Education

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year in consumer collections 

 Job Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in a call center environment

  • Strong data entry skills
  • Extremely attentive to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
