Manager Sales Training

Position Summary

Builds and directs the training and development needs of the Insulet International Sales Team. Responsible for planning, development and delivery of all field training programmes, including but not limited to product training, messaging, sales models, selling skills and coaching. The individual will work closely with the sales and marketing leadership team to deliver best in class sales training and a field center of excellence for support of all European markets.


  • Research and develop training solutions, identify opportunities and issues, and implement solutions and strategies to resolve/decrease barriers to field training on an individual and regional basis.
  • Work cooperatively with the Commercial team (Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Customer Care, and Reimbursement) to provide cross-functional training and development programs for employees.
  • Work with Field Management Team to ensure effective initial training of new field-based employees.
  • Conduct field reviews to ensure adequate and consistent training and coaching is being done for all new field employees.
  • Direct all aspects of field training of Insulet Europe employees.
  • Coordinate all field training communication within Commercial team.
  • Develop and implement training and development objectives and programs.
  • Manage reporting requirements necessary to support training and development of employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years of diabetes sales and/or management experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Related business experience working with Healthcare Professionals.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in field-based training programs.



  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, coaching and development skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a key cross-functional role within Insulet.
  • Team leader as well as a team player.
  • Must have ability and drive to take on projects with extensive volume and significant impact to our business.
  • Strong ability to lead by example and conduct classroom training.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels of an organization.
  • PC skills, word processing, spreadsheet, database.
  • Ability to provide and analyze performance driven data.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to organize and judge priorities.
  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.


Physical Requirements:

  • Travel up to 50% as required.
