Position Summary

The Facilities Manager will provide strategic property management to support Insulet Corporation offices and warehousing space, encompassing multiple facilities. The candidate will oversee the company’s Headquarters facility operation and mange associated staff while ensuring overall regulatory, safety, and security compliance. This Candidate will also optimize the use of space and equipment in an effort to reduce overall operating expense. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Global Distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic property management over multiple global office sites
  • Owns the relationship between property Management and Brokers
  • Manages and leads the facilities staff
  • Leads the headquarters relocation project to new site in Acton, MA
  • Emergency preparation and Business Continuity Planning
  • Performs or facilitates office equipment preventative and corrective maintenance and associated procedure generation
  • Management of facility improvement and productivity related projects
  • Assists engineering staff with equipment and process improvement projects
  • Ensures adherence to OSHA and other compliance related regulations for the office sites
  • Performs accident investigations per OSHA regulations
  • Collaboration and coordination of office safety programs
  • Ensures that the facilities are functioning to code while maintaining a safe working environment for all employees
  • Negotiates bids and contracts for third party work, vendors and sub-contractor activities
  • Manages office deployment and workplace space planning
  • Provides management and support to associated distribution center related projects

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics , facilities management, business management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of five years’ work experience in property management is ideal. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of EHS and OSHA related compliance and best practices

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate throughout multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience in developing and executing against strict budgets
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize and manage priorities
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to generate and maintain accurate record keeping
