  • Position Summary

    The Senior Manager of Mobile Solutions is responsible for overseeing all efforts surrounding Insulet’s customer portal, PodderCentral™. The PodderCentral™ platform is currently delivered via web, mobile web, and a native IOS/Android app.  This individual will be responsible for leading all tactical efforts, including running projects, managing internal/external resources, budget oversight, driving Agile processes, quarterly enhancement processes and continuous monitoring to drive future direction of the platform.  He/She will also play a critical role in the strategic direction of the platform in partnership with other members of IT, Customer Care, Marketing and R&D.  The successful candidate will take a customer facing solution that is in its infancy and transform it into a best in class companion product to our medical device.  This is a fantastic opportunity to be on the cutting edge of patient mobile, IOT and big data services to compliment a successful medical device product.  This position will own the PodderCentral™ platform from an IT perspective and be responsible for partnering with business units to ensure the team is delivering what is important to our Patients and aligns with Insulet’s global corporate roadmap.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead an online solution’s strategic and tactical development, and run complicated projects that involve many different actors across business units and consulting vendors.  He/She must also clearly comprehend business process and context, while also having technical background to assist with design and review of complicated process impacts between our external and internal processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Own the planning, implementation and support all web and mobile releases of PodderCentral™ platform
    • Deliver the tactical projects and implementations that push our patient experience roadmap forward as it pertains to the online community
    • Lead the internal team responsible for process definition, requirement gathering, design, development, release and support of the web platform
    • Own the relationship with the external mobile app development vendor
    • Follow internal project activation processes including defining project charters, stakeholder identification and overall communication planning
    • With assistance from additional teams, ensure that programs are clearly defined, strategically aligned, and justified with an effective business case/ROI
    • Contribute to the patient engagement vision and roadmap for Insulet as it pertains to patient portals, patient experience and use of IOT data
    • Partner with Marketing, Customer Care and Market Access business units to drive improved process efficiencies and call deflection while providing a more engaging and satisfying online patient experience
    • This role will often be responsible for providing all project management efforts for portal and mobile projects, with the assistance of internal or contract PM to handle logistical elements
    • Provide structured support program for managing end user issues including diagnosis, testing, resolution and proactive communication to resolve system, integration and process related issues.
    • Oversee development and maintenance of reports/dashboards demonstrating system usage, key areas for improvement and issue tracking

    Education and Experience

    • The web UI of PodderCentral™ is currently delivered via a Salesforce.com Community. Experience with SFDC as a CRM package and use of their communities module is a plus
    • Proven ability to manage complex multi-platform implementations (i.e. web portal and coinciding mobile app simultaneously)
    • Strong experience with the development, delivery, support and ongoing strategic planning for a consumer-facing mobile app
    • At least 4 years of experience running consumer facing web portal and/or mobile app implementations
    • At least 4 years leading a department and/or large scale project teams
    • BS in an IT-related discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent experience. MBA a plus
    • Understanding of HIPAA data requirements and impacts to systems or processes
    • Experience providing patient experience or mobile platforms supporting a medical device, pharmaceutical product or product in another regulatory controlled industry is a plus
