  • Position Summary

    With the OmniPod Insulin Management System as its flagship product, Insulet Corporation is one of the fastest growing medical device companies in the U.S. as well as internationally. Insulet now innovates, manufactures and commercializes technologies for continuous subcutaneous infusion for a variety of drug therapies.


    With a focus on the Diabetes business, the primary responsibility of this Sr. Global Product Manager position will be centered on the development and commercialization of our closed loop program with some responsibility in lifecycle engineering of Omnipod. This marketing position will have a primary focus on upstream marketing, strategy development, financial modeling and launch readiness for all global markets.


    By working proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders throughout every unit of the business, this marketing manager will have a central role in ensuring continued growth for Insulet Corporation. Additionally, this Marketing Manager will be required to take part in annual and multi-year market forecasting and planning, assessment of new market opportunities, as well as timely and effective execution against all established projects and priorities pertaining to the introduction or in-market support of any live product line or line extension.


    • Create and drive global strategy for the closed loop development project including refining the customer requirements and prioritization.
    • Collaborate with global market managers to develop the commercialization plan for each market.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Manager-Commercialization to build and execute commercialization plan
    • Refine global demand plan throughout development stages and update financial model accordingly by country as required.
    • Ensure continuous alignment around project timelines and expectations between Insulet executive staff and key stakeholders involved in the preparation of initial launch and subsequent generation pipeline.
    • Collaborate closely with all cross functional team members including regulatory, managed care, clinical, medical education, international marketing and sales to ensure streamlined processes for all steps leading from new product development into commercialization.
    • Ensure timely and consistent provision of all marketing support materials for closed loop adoption, along with general support of our international marketing team.
    • Serve as lead commercial point of contact for our development partners to ensure alignment of commercialization deliverables consistent with project and strategy.
    • Develop and refine global competitive landscape periodically evaluating strategies to combat.
    • Continuously work to refine and institutionalize best practice processes to ensure operational efficiency in bringing products to market.
    • Work closely with the Sales, Market Access, Marketing and Clinical Affairs teams to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with key customers and KOLs as part of the innovation process.

    Education and Experience

    Knowledge / Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business, MS or MBA preferred

    Job Experience

    • 4 or more years of relevant product marketing experience. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent, complex and cross-functional projects required.
    • Upstream marketing and/or business development experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry needed.
    • Experience in managing international product portfolios preferred.

     Skills / Competencies

    • Experience working in the medical device regulatory and quality systems environment, including ECO processing
    • Financial modeling experience
    • Upstream marketing experience thru all phases of development to successful product launch

    • Will be required to do 1-2 field rides per month and attend all project related tradeshows or conferences.
