  • Position Summary

    The Human Resources Generalist will provide support in the development and execution of human resource strategies and programs that support the organization’s needs and the achievement of business objectives.  This is a high visibility role interacting with employees and managers daily, beginning with on-boarding and throughout the employment relationship.  This role will provide a wide-range of HR services and hands on operational support to business leaders and the HR Business Partners/HR Leadership team.


    The Human Resources Generalist provides organizational and operational support in the following areas:

    • Provide support to HRBP’s on key people related processes and programs (recruitment and onboarding, performance management, career planning, goal setting etc.).
    • Coach and counsel managers in effective employee relations. Guide managers in the consistent understanding and application of HR policies and programs.
    • Support the onboarding process of all new employees.  Meet with new hires during the first 90 days to ensure effective assimilation and engagement levels.
    • Manage the separation process for employees and conduct exit interviews.
    • Support HRBPs in the research, design, communication and implementation of HR best practices, policies, and programs.
    • Provide timely response and support to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits and other HR-related matters.
    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team in leading Insulet’s Intern Program and in supporting recruitment initiatives and events.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, communications, data summaries, and/or other documents/information. Perform data analysis, metrics, and trend reporting.
    • Build collaborative and trusted cross functional relationships with key internal stake holders, i.e. Finance, HR Ops, IT, Legal, Talent Acquisition.
    • Manage information of a sensitive nature and maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
    • Participate and represent the Human Resources team on various internal committees and at company events.
    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and HR practices.
    • Support other projects, programs, or duties as required.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 – 5 years of work experience in a Human Resources capacity.

    Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, and respective federal and state employment laws.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).  
    • Highly customer service focused and team-oriented. Team player that effectively collaborates within and across the team.
    • Results oriented, resourceful self-starter with demonstrated time management and execution skills. Embraces challenges and change; flexible, adaptable and reliable.
    • Strong attention to detail, systems and processes.  Continuous improvement mindset.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem solving, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
    • Good judgment, high levels of integrity and quality at all times.
    • Ability to work with confidential information and to be tactful and discreet.
    • Limited travel as required to meet business needs (domestic and international).
    • Proficient skill with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
