The Buyer – Purchasing Administrator is part of Insulet’s Global Procurement organization, reporting to the Indirect Category manager. The Buyer – Purchasing Administrator has two key responsibilities. First, s/he is responsible for administering Insulet’s purchasing system. This includes but is not limited to: requesting onboarding paperwork from suppliers, tracking weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics of supplier performance, managing the open order report, and working with Insulet stakeholders to refine the policies, procedures, and systems governing Insulet’s purchasing system.
Additionally, the Buyer – Purchasing Administrator is responsible for traditional buying, mostly of Indirect materials. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, converting requisitions to purchase orders and sending these to suppliers, following up with suppliers to ensure delivery dates are met.
