    This role is responsible for monitoring and transacting inventory replenishment requirements in a Kanban/cGMP manufacturing environment in Acton, MA. This role is responsible for inventory control from the kitting room to the production floor and will be staging material for autonomous vehicles (robots) to transport to autonomous manufacturing cells. This position will also be responsible for the disposal of reject components physically and in Microsoft AX.

     

    During the Plant start-up this position will work during the core business hours. When shifts are implemented first shift will primarily work 6:00am-2:30pm. Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times.

    Responsibilities

    • Physically and systemically maintain transaction records and moves production materials to support a continuous FIFO production flow.
    • Interact with autonomous vehicles (robots) to ensure consistent material flow to the automation machines.
    • Works cross-functionally to prioritize inventory based on supply and demand.
    • Performs data entry, reconciles inventory, and generates production /material activity report.
    • Performs Cycle Counting in support of a perpetual inventory and/or periodical inventory audit.
    • Maintains stocking levels within the kitting room.
    • Manage safety to minimize safety risks.
    • Ensure proper labeling requirements of transacted inventory material are met.
    • Support or assist in the Receiving and Shipping functions.
    • Maintain efficient and organized stocking.
    • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
    • Clean trays and prepare parts and pieces per instructions.
    • Store all items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, kitting room, or other areas.
    • Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment. 
    • Cleans and maintains storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. 
    • Pick materials out of inventory per process workflows and written instruction.
    • Work in a controlled environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Material Control and Material Handling basic job functions, preferably in a Medical Device environment.
    • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.     
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP Software preferred, but not required.
    • Proficient in business environment software applications - MS Office.
    • Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Must have excellent attendance.
    • The ideal candidate is highly motivated, is a proactive problem solver, self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal.
    • Must be familiar with ergonomic lifting techniques.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
    • Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
    • Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
