  • Position Summary

    The Manager, Healthcare Professional Marketing will play an important role in the development and execution of the marketing strategy and annual marketing plan with a focus on achieving the brand’s short-term business objectives.   S/he will be responsible for understanding market needs for a diverse customer base though primary focus with be on health care professionals.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    Marketing Planning/Strategy:

    • Participate in the development and evaluation of marketing strategy, based on customer needs, insights and market dynamics.
    • Assist in development of annual marketing plan.
    • Identify appropriate metrics to measure success, and monitor outcomes against metrics.
    • With emphasis on healthcare professionals, analyze the market place, identify key areas of opportunity to drive growth, and anticipate future trends to create strategies and ideas that deliver.

    Promotion/Advertising:

    • Develops and evolves a strong brand positioning and messaging against healthcare professionals.
    • Lead development of marketing programs/materials focused on health care professionals.
    • Participate in development of marketing programs and materials focused on consumers and Payors.
    • Lead the selection, development and implementation of trade show programs.
    • Evaluate marketing programs to ensure ROI.
    • Assist with sales force training on use of materials.
    • Develop relationships with diabetes educators, endocrinologists, and industry professionals worldwide. Support interaction and develop relationships with members of our KOL advisory board and CDE Board.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of brand public relations focused on health care professionals.

    Product Management:

    • Assist in the translation of customer needs/wants into product features/functional specs.
    • Work with operations to monitor customer satisfaction, unmet needs and recommend product/service enhancements as needed.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    Education and Experience

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred and minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in Product Management or Marketing Management within the health care industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience partnering with cross-functional business partners and 3rd party stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of managing increasing levels of responsibility with self-starter and hustle mentality to delivering above and beyond.
    • Agency and/or digital experience is a plus
    • Knowledge of marketing within a regulated environment is a plus
    • Ideal candidate would also have healthcare professional sales experience.

     

    Skills/Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of diabetes, experience in the category preferred.
    • Knowledge of reimbursement landscape within Canada.
    • Understanding of primary and secondary market research techniques.
    • Proven ability to analyze market dynamics.
    • Self-starter; shows initiative.
    • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written).
    • Ability to act as the voice of the customer and commitment to customer satisfaction.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Ability to organize and judge priorities.
    • Ability to manage conflict resolution openly and effectively with minimal authority.
    • Experience in start-up or small company environment, ability to wear multiple hats.
    • Vendor management experience.
    • PC skill, word processing, spreadsheet, database.

    Physical Requirements:   

         

    • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
    • Manual dexterity needed for using a digital devices.
    • Lightweight lifting may be required.
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • This position may require occasional travel.
