  • Position Summary

    Position Overview:
    The Supply Chain Production Planning Manager is responsible for global finished goods planning in a multi-plant manufacturing environment.  This role is a key member of the Integrated S&OP Planning Team. The Global Production Planning Manager develops and manages worldwide Insulet production, capacity, and inventory plans to ensure continuity of care for Insulet patients. This role has overall responsibility for the Materials Requirement Planning function to assure supply of all SKUs meets Insulet plans.




    • Lead the Insulet Production Planning process including rough cut capacity planning, multi-plant production scheduling, material planning, and procurement to meet required service levels.
    • Manages overall supply to achieve continuity of care, freight and inventory goals as well as key KPIs for service, cost, and quality.
    • Drives continuous improvement of material flow processes in support of procurement and manufacturing goals, particularly lead time and freight costs.
    • Responsible for managing capacity and planning of internal and external manufacturing process steps.
    • Performs high level analysis on supply risk, cost and service impact of change.
    • Manages and maintains Master Planning functionality and MRP Master Data.
    • Develop consistent, effective reporting and scorecards to highlight issues and drive action.


    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
    • 7 + years of increasing responsibility in planning roles.


    Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical, statistical and critical thinking skills.
    • Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to effectively influence third parties and cross-functional teams to drive improvement in a manufacturing environment.
