  • Position Summary

    The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will be responsibility for compensation and employee benefit plans for Europe.    Working closely with the Head of HR Europe and the Compensation and Benefits management for Insulet Corporation, this role will provide day-to-day management and oversight of all aspects of Insulet’s compensation and employee benefits functions including developing, standardizing and implementation of initiatives and strategies consistent with Insulet’s overall total rewards strategy.  The role holder will be an advisor and subject matter expert, to provide council to management in Europe and ensures effective design and management of all aspects of compensation and benefit plans across Europe.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop Insulet's total rewards programs, working with management in Europe.
    • Manage competitive analysis of rewards programs including compensation and employee benefit plans, programs and arrangements through periodic benchmarking and participation in market surveys.

    Compensation

    • Participate in Insulet’s Compensation Committee meetings.
    • Administer and communicate Insulet’s equity compensation.
    • Provide competitive pay analysis and recommend short- and long-term incentive programs that address evolving organizational challenges.
    • Ensure that compensation practices and programs are market competitive and attract, retain, and motivate employees
    • Manage broad-based compensation programs and merit cycles, including annual salary review and bonus and equity planning.
    • Partner with Business Leaders and Finance on development of functional incentive plans.

     

    Benefits

    • Manage, on a day-to-day basis, Insulet’s employee benefit plans, programs and arrangements
    • Periodically review Insulet’s employee benefit plans, programs and arrangements to ensure market competitiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable law and regulations and required disclosure, reporting and auditing requirements.
    • Select and manage third party administrators and partners, including periodic evaluation of performance and conducting of requests for proposals for vendors.
    • Review and manage other policies governing employees, including leave of absence, flexible work policy, etc.
    • Interact with internal and external legal counsel; ensure present and proposed programs comply with applicable law. Educate cross-functional teams and departments regarding issues and implications to ensure compliance.
    • Research best practices through surveys and other sources of industry information. Oversee the effective use of market data to recommend competitive, innovative and cost-effective compensation and benefit plans.

     

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or quantitative field and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
    • Compensation, benefits and/or HR certifications desirable.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in Human Resources within public company environments with exposure to various incentive compensation and employee benefit plan models.
    • Experience within the medical device or healthcare industry is desirable.
    • Experience with international compensation and benefits programs.

    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement incentive compensation and employee benefit programs.
    • Experience to manage change within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical skills, matched with strong communication skills required to translate technical concepts into clear direction and guidance.
    • Demonstrated business partnership and working cross functionally in an international environment.
    • Highly competent in benchmarking and measurement with desire to drive continuous improvement in performance measures and outcomes for the business.
