  • Position Summary

    Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the packaging of Insulet finished goods & labelling of boxes/cartons as they come off the conveyor line. This position would also be expected to follow standard operating procedures in order to ensure applicable FDA and cGMP procedures are adhered to at all times.

     

    During the Plant start-up this position will work during the core business hours. When shifts are implemented first shift will primarily work 2:00pm – 10:30pm. Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times.

    Responsibilities

    • Pack, label, verify and palletize items for shipment according to specifications.
    • Pull and pack materials.
    • Manage safety requirements to minimize safety risks.
    • Perform general duties including cycle counts, housekeeping, stocking, safety and maintenance.
    • Performs other duties as required.

     

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED

     

    Preferred Skills and Competencies:       

    • Minimum 1 year experience in Distribution, Receiving, or Manufacturing Support environment.
    • Must be extremely service, internal customer and detail-oriented.
    • Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Highly motivated, proactive problem solver and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
    • Stand up and sit down forklift and/or motorized pallet jack operation experience is a plus.
    • Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
    • Good communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Medical device industry experience a plus.
    • Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
    • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.
    • Keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team and possess a positive attitude.
    • Experience in a start-up production environment is a plus.

     

    Physical Requirements (if applicable):        

    • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
    • Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
    • Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
