  • Position Summary

    Insulet is looking for a dynamic Consumer/Patient Marketing Director to join our growing marketing team. This role will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of marketing campaigns focused on acquisition and retention. You will work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute a holistic strategy to measure and drive awareness, acquisition and retention.  You will be responsible for managing a team that creates compelling marketing content that attracts qualified leads, nurtures prospects/customers, increases awareness and establishes loyalty with our ongoing Podder base.

    This role will focus on creating a comprehensive plan and then executing on that plan to drive conversions through a combination of channels with a specific focus on health plan/provider lead generation, marketing automation, content/inbound/outbound marketing, email, social media and data analytics. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated, a big thinker, and strong team player who takes great pride in the quality, precision, and measurable results of his/her work. Candidates should ideally have direct to patient marketing experience in the healthcare or biosciences spaces (medical device experience preferred) as well as direct to consumer marketing experience, and enjoy not only developing the strategy but also implementing the plan and measuring results. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must for effective customer and stakeholder management.

    • Development and execution of comprehensive patient consumer marketing plan that includes:
      • Multi-pronged plan to drive and measure awareness & conversion
      • Creative initiatives to improve patient loyalty and retention
    • Translate marketing and sales goals/objectives into actionable and measurable marketing initiatives, including but not limited to online media, social, blog, email, website strategy, SEO, and other digital components
    • Collaborate with legal and regulatory to remove barriers to implementing programs that will drive increased adoption and retention
    • Develop, execute and monitor social and online media campaigns to drive company objectives and qualified leads to the sales pipeline
    • Manage and collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, on lead nurturing campaigns using marketing automation
    • Effectively manage internal and to a lesser degree external resources as needed for campaign development, including email, web advertising, and social media
    • Manage/produce/write marketing content for the web/online, including editing content from others
    • Review metrics against expected/forecasted results, measure channel effectiveness and ROI on all marketing campaigns. Continually update and pivot plans to optimize results.
    • Provide analysis and insights of integrated campaigns for optimization and report on industry trends related to digital and patient/consumer marketing to enhance future marketing initiatives
    • On a regular basis present trends, results and future plans to executive team
    • Performs other duties as required.


    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred and 8-10 years’ experience leading teams, preferably focused on patient/consumer marketing


    Preferred Skills and Competencies:       

    • Medical Device, Healthcare and/or Bioscience industry experience preferred
    • Strong strategic experience developing full patient/consumer marketing programs
    • Self-starter with the ability to execute in a regulated industry
    • Willingness to think creatively, experiment and have some fun along the way
    • Ability to work in a complex and collaborative environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills


    Physical Requirements (if applicable):
