  • Position Summary

    Great position open in our Mobile Software R&D Center in San Diego. We're looking for an Android Software Development Engineer with experience building smart phone applications for a variety of medical device and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. 


    • Design and build out the next generation Android smart-phone cloud based platform that can support future patient/device centric products and applications.
    • Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns.
    • Scope work, break down into modules, and estimate efforts working closely with management.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equiv experience
    • Android (Native Andorid) software development experience. 
    • Experience with Java, Android UI and service development.
    • Experience in designing scalable & secure software platforms for digital healthcare industry.
    • Knowledge of API management concepts & fundamentals.
    • Experience with Agile software development preferred. 

    Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Demonstrated proficiency in developing solutions and platforms that leverage wireless communications and Smart phone technologies.
    • Ability to quickly grasp and learn new technologies and develop POC/prototypes.
    • Experience with Bluetooth and wireless communication is preferred.
    • Demonstrated work experience with Web services, Cloud and API technologies.
    • Excellent communications skills.
    • Extensive experience working with technical teams and management.
    • Ability to drive and own technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully launching products in FCC & FDA regulated industries preferred.
