The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing to life assembly and process equipment for the startup of new Manufacturing Operations in Acton, MA. The role will then transition to direct engineering and maintenance of equipment in Acton, MA with accountability to ensure a high level of machine uptime and minimal production scrap on complex discrete component assembly equipment.
This individual will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of process equipment. They will also be trained and cross-trained to repair, maintain and improve the reliability of various stations including: lasers, optical gaging devices, continuity testing, inspection, etc. Maintenance technicians must be quality-conscious, aggressively self-directed, motivated team players, and willing trainers—eager to gain and share new knowledge.

- The primary responsibility of this role is to review and process clinical documentation promptly and accurately to ensure proper reimbursement from contracted payors. The Intake Specialist will utilize this clinical documentation to perform benefit investigations as well as prior authorizations with our contracted payors. This role will work with all department functions and must have a thorough understanding of the reimbursement process, clinical guidelines and medical policies.
- The Intake Specialist is able to independently follow standardized workflows as defined by management. This is a skilled position that requires customer service and/or healthcare reimbursement experience and the ability to apply acquired skills to ensure the insurance claim is processed correctly and the company is able to successfully collect. The Intake Specialist will be expected to work on a broad range of tasks including some more complex situations.

Insulet Corporation is currently creating additional capacity to manufacture their Omnipod and drug delivery pumps. To create this increased capacity new lines have been been installed in Acton MA that will be comprised of multiple Islands of Automation per line. The line will fully automate all transformations, assembly processes, WIP handling and on-line quality checks to produce the Omnipod product.
Project Description:
To support bringing these discrete component assembly lines to life and sustain manufacturing, comprehensive support and improvements of all the PLC, HMI, AIV (Autonomous Intelligent Vehicle), robotic and vision software is necessary. Some development, assembly and validation of measurement circuitry for connection to PLCs and test systems is also necessary to provide control signals to and from automation components.
The successful coop will support lead electrical engineers in the support and improvement of manufacturing lines.
Support and improvement will include the following:
- logic to sequence the operation of the equipment
- motion control to move mechanisms with servo motors, VFDs, and robots
- user interface features to allow operations and manufacturing to view the equipment function and performance
- inspection logic to check and measure the product components at various stages of assembly
- data collection of equipment performance and product process variables, this may include data mining of information
- AIV support, troubleshooting and improvement of present system
Also required is collaboration with the mechanical engineering team during mechanical design reviews and equipment build inspections.

Education and work experience should encompass a vast array of engineering disciplines to include, software, communications, electrical, mechanical, and materials.

Insulet is looking for a self-motivated Senior Software Automation Engineer, to be a part of the software team to assist with product development and product modifications for the Research and Development group. This position will be primarily responsible for building the software test automation framework. This position will also be developing automated tests, in conjunction with the software development efforts. This includes Class II and Class III (US), Class IIb and Class III (EU), and Class II and Class III (Canada) device systems. Attention to safety, efficacy, compliance, substantial equivalence, design control, change control, manufacturing, and post market activities are all essential to this role.
As the Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for regulatory compliance for the commercialized Omnipod system and the recently launched Omnipod DASH system. This includes providing regulatory leadership for all design changes, maintaining technical files, and MDR transition. You will also be responsible for managing the advertising and promotional material approval process and working with the commercial team to achieve business objectives and maintain compliance.
